Samuel Hybarger was born July 17, 1851 near Wallace, Ind. He was the son of Rufus and Mary Hybarger. He was reared in and about Wallace, and lived there for many years. Later he moved to Kingman, where he purchased a farm and resided until his death. He was married to Charlotte Denman in 1876 and to this union were born six children, Clide (sic) , the only son living, Lola, Mary and Ruth, all living. Clara and Rufus having died several years ago. About 20 years ago, Sam and his wife became members of the Christian Churchh at Kingman and continued membership throughout their lives. Ever one around here knew Sam Hybarger, as he was called and he was known as an honest and upright citizen. He was an honest, hard working man and a good provider for his family. Charlotte, the wife and mother, died on Aug 17, 1912, leaving Sam to take the place of both father and mother for the four living children. Sam died Feb 3, 1916 aged 64 years 6 months and 14 days. Sam Hybarger has left us, simply changed places or residence, from earth to that home on the other side of the great divide. Death is simply passing from the old to the new life. When a Christian there is no sting in death; death where is thy sting and grave where is thy victory. We simply put off mortality and put on immortality.
